At least 10 people were killed in Beijing when a fire engulfed a storehouse Tuesday, police said.
The incident, which occurred in the capital city's Chaoyang district, was reported to the police late evening as the blaze spread over a 500 square metre area, Xinhua reported.
A total of 14 people were rescued from the incident site while the injured rushed to hospital, police said.
The blaze was doused late night, firefighters said. An investigation was being conducted, as it could not be immediately ascertained what caused the fire.
