At least 10 soldiers were killed when pro-Russian rebels ambushed a column of government troops in eastern Ukraine, close to the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crash site, media reported Friday.

According to officials, the rebels destroyed more than 30 vehicles while unverified video leaked online shows a scene of carnage on a road, BBC reported.

Dutch and Australian forensic experts visited the crash site Thursday for the first time since the July 17 crash.
