Eleven women, including a minor, were Friday rescued following a raid at a brothel in the city's red light area G.B. Road, said police.

Sarika, the manager of the brothel, was arrested for forcing them into prostitution.

The raid took place after sources informed that a minor girl was trapped and forced into the flesh trade.

"Of the 11 women, two belong to Nepal, five are from Karnataka, three from Andhra Pradesh and one is from Maharashtra," said a police official.

Police said the women belong to poor families and were lured on the pretext of being provided employment in Delhi.

They were subsequently brought to Delhi and sold to Sarika.

"Efforts are on to trace the person who brought them to Delhi and also others who are part of the conspiracy," said the official.
