11-year-old returns home, six of family missing in Uttarakhand

An 11-year-old boy who got separated from his family in flood-hit Uttarakhand, miraculously returned home here Friday.

Sahil Yadav had lost contact with the other members of his family, including five women, June 17 in Uttarakhand.

Eight members, including relatives, of a family from nearby Wazirabad village here, had gone on a pilgrimage to different shrines in Uttarakhand June 10.

Early June 17, one of the family spoke with her relative here and said they were at Kedarnath shrine and that it was raining heavily.

On returning home, the boy told his family that he did not know how he was rescued.
