At least 12 people were killed and 50 others injured when mortar shells struck Syria's capital Damascus Tuesday, the country's official SANA news agency said.
"Two of them fell on Badr Al Husseini school complex, killing 12 people and injuring 50 others," SANA quoted a source at Damascus Police Command as saying.
The Syrian government accuses terrorist groups of attacking Syrian cities with mortar shells to spread panic and kill civilians, and says that children are among the victims of this act.
