Moscow, Nov 27 (IANS/EFE) At least 13 civilians were killed in recent shelling by Ukrainian artillery in the eastern city of Donetsk controlled by pro-Russian separatists, the rebel command announced Thursday.
A spokesman for the separatists told a Russian news agency that their forces were targeted by the artillery barrage.
According to the agency, the shells hit neighbourhoods in the north of Donetsk.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military command said that two civilians were killed and eight others were injured in attacks by the pro-Russian militias over the last 24 hours.
The command claimed that during the same period, the separatists committed 50 violations of the ceasefire agreed between both sides in September.
