At least 14 people were killed and 28 injured when a scaffold collapsed at a construction site in Vietnam, an official said on Thursday.
The accident occurred on late Wednesday when the scaffold collapsed in Vung Ang port construction site, part of Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation's (FHS) iron and steel project in Ky Anh district, some 350 km south of capital Hanoi, Xinhua reported.
Twelve people were killed while more than 20 injured people were rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment, Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA reported.
Later, Nguyen Minh Nguyen from the Ha Tinh military force said on Vietnam Television that two more workers were found dead, trapped under the wreckage.
An injured said the scaffolds "showed signs of shaking before they began working".
