At least 14 people, including 10 police personnel, were killed and eight injured Tuesday after Taliban militants attacked a police station in Afghanistan's Logar province.
Four attackers, armed with guns and wearing suicide vests, attacked the eastern Afghan province's police headquarters in Pul-e-Alam city, Xinhua reported.
"The attackers arrived in a car. One militant detonated an explosive vest in the front gate. Three others succeeded in entering the building. Two other militants were killed during gunfight and explosion in the building's yard," an official said.
"The last bomber made his way into the dining hall of the facility where police officials were having their launch. The attacker detonated his suicide jacket in the hall."
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
