At least 14 Palestinians were killed and 29 injured Friday in Israeli airstrikes, hours before the start of a 72-hour ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
According to medical sources, eight Palestinians were killed early Friday as Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the southern Gaza city of Khanyounis, Xinhua reported.
In the airstrike, 10 people were injured.
Six Palestinian civilians, including a child, were killed and 19 injured during airstrikes in eastern districts of Khanyounis, medics said.
The incidents came just hours before the start of a 72-hour ceasefire agreed by Israel and Hamas movement.
The UN-proposed truce is scheduled to start at 8 a.m.
Since Israel launched offensives on Gaza July 8, 1,464 Palestinians have been killed and more than 8,000 injured.
In the conflict, 56 Israelis, including 53 soldiers, were also killed.
