Two moderate earthquakes measuring 4.6 and 4.7 on the Richter scale jolted Nepal on Monday, officials said.
According to the National Seismological Centre (NSC) of Nepal, the two temblors that hit Ramechhap district were aftershocks of the massive 2015 quake that killed over 8,850 people.
The first occurred at 9.22 a.m., and the second followed at 10.06 a.m.
Schools in the districts were closed following the aftershocks and there were reports of damages on old structures.
The tremors were also felt in various parts of the Kathmandu Valley, the NSC added.
