Sanaa, Nov 4 (IANS/EFE) At least 20 suspected Al Qaeda militants were killed in three airstrikes carried out by an unmanned US drone aircraft in Yemen, officials said Tuesday.
The officials said that the first airstrike targeted a truck that was carrying Al Qaeda fighters near the Al-Bayda province, killing 10 late Monday night.
The second strike also targeted a vehicle in the same area, killing three suspected terrorists.
At least seven others were killed in the third strike on a terrorist position.
The targeted areas happened to be the site of clashes between Al Qaeda militants and Shia Houthi fighters.
