At least 20-Delhi-bound trains were delayed and three rescheduled as dense fog engulfed the national capital on Saturday, officials said. Two flights were also delayed.
"Twenty trains were delayed due to the dense fog and three were rescheduled," an official from the Northern Railway said.
The minimum temperature here was settled at 4.6 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, the weather office said.
The sky will be clear throughout the day and the maximum temperature may hover around 19 degrees Celsius, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
Visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 300 metres, while at 5.30 a.m., it was less than 50 metres.
According to the weather office, the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 100 percent.
Delhi on Friday witnessed the season's coldest day with the minimum temperature recorded at 4.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, while the maximum temperature settled at 17.7 degrees Celsius, four notches below average at this time of the season.
