The international leg of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia trophy tour started here on Monday with its next destination designated to be Colombo in Sri Lanka on January 24.
"Amazing to be reunited with the FIFA #WorldCup Trophy today as it starts it journey around the world with @TrophyTour," former Italian football star Andrea Pirlo tweeted.
The prestigious trophy will move on to 51 countries on all six continents.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy will return to Russia in May 2018, when it will visit nine more cities -- Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Samara, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg and Moscow.
The World Cup will be played in Russia from June 14 to July 15.
