A total of 26 homes were destroyed or badly damaged in the recent bushfires in South Australia's capital city of Adelaide, media reported Monday.
Premier Jay Weatherill Monday confirmed that 41 buildings were destroyed or seriously damaged, and 29 people - mainly firefighters - were injured, Adelaide Now reported.
Thirty-seven families have been provided with temporary accommodation, he added.
Weatherill said the fire was continuing to burn and there remained a "very clear danger".
"There are number of flare-ups across the fire ground," he said.
According to authorities, the bushfires which started Saturday have been the worst since the 1983 Ash Wednesday bushfires.
