Hundreds of masked youth taking part in a protest against labour reforms clashed with police on Tuesday, injuring 26, most of them police officers, according to local media reports.
Twenty policemen and six protesters were wounded in the rally, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Parisian prefecture said 13 people were arrested on charged of violence and vandalism after several hundreds of hooded youth threw projectile at police.
In recent weeks, labour reform demonstrations have turned violent in many cities. Police unions said more than 350 officers had been wounded since the nationwide rallies against labour reform began in March.
A total of 1,300 people have been arrested with 819 placed in custody and 51 convicted on charges of violent acts, according to the French Interior Ministry.
