At least 30 people have been killed and 17 others injured after a passenger bus overturned and plunged into a ravine in Peru's Arequipa region, officials said.
The accident took place on Wednesday on the North Pan-American Highway, in the town of Camana, Efe news reported.
The head of the Arequipa regional government's National and Civil Defence Office, Jacqueline Choque, told Canal N television that at least 30 people died, while National Police sources said the number of fatalities could climb to 36.
