Four Bahraini men, who planted an explosive device that injured an Asian worker, were sentenced to life in prison by Bahrain's High Criminal Court Thursday.
The men were convicted of attempted murder and detonating an explosive device that injured a Bangladeshi man March 17 at Dair village, Xinhua reported.
The Bahrainis will now serve at least 25 years in prison for the offence.
Muharraq city's Acting Chief Prosecutor Abdullah Al-Dossary told the Bahrain News Agency that the four men conspired to deliberately target policemen and residents, prepared homemade explosives and planted them at the entrance of Dair village.
Last week, 50 individuals, including a woman, were jailed for a maximum of 15 years on different charges including forming a terror cell.
