The Delhi government will make available about 400 ghats for Chhath Puja this year in Delhi, an official statement said on Thursday.
In a review meeting chaired by Delhi Development Minister Gopal Rai, it was decided that about 400 ghats will be made availble this year and out of this 50 will be developed as permanent ghats, while temporary arrangements will be made on the remaining ones.
The Revenue Department will arrange lighting, CCTVs and security and rest of the arrangements will be done by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department.
The meeting was attended by MLAs, councillors, and senior officers of both departments.
