5.0-magnitude quake hits Anatahan region, Northern Mariana Islands: USGS

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted Anatahan region, Northern Mariana Islands on Friday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicentre, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 16.7277 degrees north latitude and 146.8642 degrees east longitude, Xinhua reported.
