An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck central Greece on Friday, according to the Euro Mediterranean Seismological Centre. There were no reports of injuries or damage, police said.
The quake occurred at 10:12 a.m. local time (0812 GMT), Xinhua reported.
The epicentre was located near the city of Karditsa, about 200 km northwest of Athens, Efthymios Lekkas, president of Greece's Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization, told Greek national news agency AMNA, Xinhua reported.
The quake was also felt in the central Greek cities like Trikala and Larissa.
