An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale has jolted Philippines on Saturday, the US Geological Survey has said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 69 km, was initially determined to be at 6.7 degrees north latitude and 126.6 degrees east longitude, Xinhua news agency reported.
The quake was not expected to cause a tsunami, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said. There were no immediate reports of damage, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
