At least six people were killed and dozens of others injured as torrential rains and snowfall brought life to a standstill in parts of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, reports said on Sunday.
Most of the victims, including women and children, were either electrocuted or killed or injured after being trapped inside the rubble of collapsed houses in the province, reported Xinhua.
The rainwater caused flash floods in water drainages passing through the cities and the villages, washing away houses and shops in its way.
The rains also inundated several roads and railway tracks, disrupting road and rail traffic.
Many people had to stay in open after their houses were collapsed by rain or flash floods, while the authorities also issued flood warning in several districts of the province.
Directions had been issued to convert state-owned buildings into shelter houses to accommodate the people affected by the flood.
