At least six people were killed and 72 were injured when a train derailed near the Moroccan capital on Tuesday, officials said.
The incident occurred in Bouknadel, on the Atlantic coast between the capital and the city of Kenitra.
Officials said the death toll was expected to rise given the severity of some of the injuries, Efe news reported.
Social media images after the crash showed a train carriage flipped on its side, with debris strewn on the tracks.
