A Gurgaon court Tuesday acquitted all the 62 people, including office bearers of the workers union, of attempt to murder and other charges related to the 2005 violence at Honda Scooters and Motorcycles unit in Manesar.

Additional Session Judge Falit Sharma acquitted all the accused as the Haryana government had withdrawn its charges against them in the court in 2008.

"We are happy with the verdict of the court. The justice has been done to the workers. No accused had indulged in violence. It is a victory of the workers' truth, dedication and ideas," Ashok Kumar, president of Honda workers union, told IANS.
