Three out of four French people believe that Francois Hollande is a bad president, according to a survey released on Tuesday by the Odoxa Institute, while 95 percent of respondents who support the right and 45 percent of leftist respondents disapproved of the Socialist leader.

The informal disapproval rating of the French head of state, according to the survey conducted on May 21 and 22, is higher than the findings from a similar survey conducted in April, Efe news agency reported.

On the other hand, the popularity of Prime Minister Manuel Valls improved slightly, as only 41 percent of respondents did not agree with his mandate.

Neither Hollande nor Valls placed among the top 20 most popular public officials, as the list is headed by former minister of foreign affairs Alain Juppe with only a 41 percent disapproval rating, followed by former president Nicolas Sarkozy with 28 percent, and the current Minister of Finance, Emmanuel Macron, with 27 percent.

Among the most detested politicians are three members of the far-right National Front party: its president, Marine Le Pen, with 57 percent; her niece, deputy Marion Marechal-Le Pen with 56 percent; and vice president of the party, Florian Philippot, with a 51 percent disapproval rating.
