8 IPS officers transferred in Bengal

The West Bengal government transferred eight IPS officers on Saturday.

According to the notification, Sanjoy Mukherjee, who was Director of Security in the state, will now be Additional Director General, CID, replacing Rajesh Kumar, who has been transferred to West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) as ADG.

Ashok Kumar Prasad, who was Inspector General of Police, Personnel, would replace Sib Sankar Dutta as IGP, CID II. Dutta will be the new IGP, Organisation.

South 24 Parganas SSP, Coordination Sunil Kumar Choudhary will take over the charge as Joint Commissioner of Police, Siliguri while Parul Kush Jain, Commandant of the state armed police's Third Battalion will now be DIG, Personnel.

 

Santosh Pandey, Deputy Commissioner, Headquarters, of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, will take over as SSP, Coordination, in South 24 Parganas and will be replaced in this post by Amit P. Javalgi, who was commandant in state armed police's 8th Battalion.
