Nine persons, including two children and four women, were killed when a bus fell into a river here on Sunday, police said.
Ten persons have been rescued and operations were on to save more of the passengers travelling in the bus from Shamshabad to Lateri.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Dharmendra Chaudhary told IANS that the bus fell into the Sapan river in Vidisha district on Sunday afternoon.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus was carrying more than 25 persons.
The bus driver and the conductor fled the spot.
