Thousands of people were stranded as 90 trains were delayed and eight cancelled due to dense fog in parts of north India on Sunday, authorities said.
A Northern Railway official said 28 trains were rescheduled as the Sunday visibility dropped to 300 metres.
There was dense fog in Delhi, with the minimum temperature recorded at 12.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 22 degree Celsius.
Saturday's maximum temperature was 21.6 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, and the minimum was 11.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the average.
