It was a soulful event with sufi songs, traditional dances, ghazal singers, dotara balladeers and folk tunes performed by renowned artists from Turkmenistan in the national capital.
Organised by the NGO Sakshi, the "Jashn-e- Tehzeeb" was held to celebrate the 25th year of Independence of Turkmenistan and gave the chance to get a glimpse of the country's rich culture and tradition.
"We speak the same language of sufism, ghazal, love and tradition. India and Turkmenistan have ties going back to many centuries. The event gave a chance to bring the culture and philosophy of Turkmenistan to India," said Mridula Tandon, Chairman Jashn-E-Tehzeeb and Sakshi NGO President at the event.
