The AAP Thursday promised to abolish the use of police personnel as orderlies for domestic work or security guards by senior police officers when it comes to power.

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, while releasing the election manifesto, said the working conditions of police personnel should be improved by ensuring that their working hours are more than eight hours per day.

He said the use of police personnel as orderlies for domestic work or as security guards by senior police officers will be abolished, when his party come in power.

Kejriwal said the manifesto has suggested the implementation of police reforms as per the judgment of the Supreme Court.

He said his party will bring the Delhi Police under the state government except the area of high security Luytens zone, which houses the diplomatic enclaves.

He further said that the manifesto suggested the installations of CCTV cameras inside the police stations to ensure transparency from registering the first information report (FIR) to investigation of the case.
