The Aam Aadmi Party Tuesday strongly objected to the unceremonious shunting out of Gurgaon Divisional Commissioner Pradeep Kasni within just one month of his assuming office.
"Surprisingly, Haryana Chief Secretary P.K. Gupta calls it a case of routine transfer," an AAP spokesman said.
Instead of taking cognizance of the report by a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, the government is following the principle of shooting the messenger, the spokesman said.
The Aam Aadmi Party takes serious offence to the manner in which a bureaucrat is being punished for exposing irregularity in land deeds, he said.
The AAP demands that Kasni's punitive transfer order be cancelled, he said.
