AAP ditched people of Delhi: Sukhbir Badal

Punjab's Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Wednesday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for ditching its responsibility towards people of Delhi.

"AAP in its greedy quest for attaining power in Punjab has paid absolutely no heed to the development and aspirations of Delhi masses," Badal told reporters at Fazilka district's Jalalabad town.

Taking a jibe at BJP rebel Navjot Singh Sidhu, the Deputy Chief Minister said Sidhu or his Awaaz-e-Punjab' front will not be able to make the slightest of difference to the political equation in the state.

"He would come a cropper," he said.

Cricketer-turned-politician Sidhu on September 14 formally resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party and said it was a "painful decision" for him.

Sidhu had on September 8 formally announced a new political front 'Awaaz-e-Punjab', saying that his fight was against the system and the leaders who had "ruined" Punjab -- putting an end to the speculation of him joining the AAP.
