Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members and supporters Tuesday distributed sweets and took out a procession in the city to celebrate the party's historic win in the Delhi assembly polls.
Besides taking to social networking sites to congratulate Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP, party volunteers took out a victory procession in the city.
"This victory has rekindled the hopes of the common man. The journey of AAP's fight against corruption has only begun," said Alok Chaturvedi, who had unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha polls.
Party leader Suraj Narayan Singh, who too had contested the Lok Sabha polls, said the Delhi victory has set the stage for the AAP to gain ground in Bengal and asserted that it would contest the 2016 assembly polls in the state.
