Two days after an FIR was lodged against its MLA based on a woman's complaint, Delhi's ruling AAP hit out at the city police for not filing FIR against the same woman when they had complained about her in the past.
A senior police officer told IANS that the woman stated in her complaint that AAP lawmaker Prakash Jharwal had "attacked" and "molested" her.
AAP, in a statement, on Friday claimed that the same 'Mrs X' on whose complaint an FIR has been lodged against Jharwal, had attacked him and AAP leader Jyoti Koli in the past.
The party claimed that they had filed two police complaints on April 8 and July 14, but police did not file an FIR against the woman based on the complaints.
"On the contrary, five days after the incident, (complaint on July 14) police registered a FIR against MLA Prakash on July 19," the statement read.
The party said that it has "over 100 photographs to prove that Mrs X is a local leader of BJP".

AAP also alleged that the FIR against Jharwal "is purely a case of political tussle" between a BJP worker and AAP councillor Koli.
