Abu Dhabi, Aug 16 (IANS/WAM) Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), in association with India's leisure travel company TUI, has launched a month-long campaign in New Delhi to bolster number of Indian visitor to the UAE.
The campaign - 'Abu Dhabi Month' - will run throughout August at Select Citywalk Mall in India's national capital.
"With much more to see and do in Abu Dhabi as well as increased air access from the country following Etihad Airways' equity stake in Jet Airways, we expect to see strong growth in the number of Indian guests," said Bejan Dinshaw, country manager-India, TCA Abu Dhabi.
In the first six months of 2013, 80,179 Indian nationals stayed in Abu Dhabi's 145 hotels and hotel apartments -- a rise of 22 percent from the corresponding period last year.
Sunil Hasija, executive director, TUI India, said robust growth was evidence of the emirate's rapidly evolving leisure and business tourism offering, which is being increasingly factored into consumers' travel decisions.
