Singer Adele will be honoured with the Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) award at the Buckingham Palace here Thursday.
The 25-year-old was named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for her contribution to the music industry. She will be given the title Miss Adele Adkins MBE, reports contactmusic.com.
Adele came into the spotlight following the release of her debut album "19" in 2008 and achieved success following the release of her second album "21" in early 2011.
She also won an Academy Award in February for her "James Bond" theme song "Skyfall", which she both wrote and produced.
Adele is currently busy preparing to celebrate the festive season with her 14-month-old son Alfred and fiance Simon Konecki at their Brighton home.
