Cricket polls in Jharkand, home to India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has got hotter and will see an Additional Director General (ADG) of Police fighting it out with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for the coveted post of Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) president.

The incumbent JSCA president Amitabh Chaudhary, who is the Additional Director General (ADG) of Police and is posted as special secretary in state Home department, will take on Praveen Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police of Special Task Force (STF).

Chaudhary has been the president since JSCA was constituted in 2003. The JSCA polls had turned high profile in 2005 when then state's Home Minister Sudesh Mahto joined the fray but lost the polls to Chaudhary.

Now again the JSCA president poll has turn interesting with two top cops fighting it out for the coveted post.

Praveen Singh doubted whether it would be a free and fair poll.

"We doubt a free and fair poll. We have not been provided the list of the voters. We demand a free and fair poll," he said after submitting his nomination papers.

Chaudhary's close associates say that it will be an easy win and he will again become the JSCA president.
