Athletic Bilbao striker Aritz Aduriz and UD Las Palmas coach Quique Setien have won the La Liga awards for best footballer and coach in March, the Spanish Football League LFP said on Friday.
Aduriz, 35, scored three goals last month to become the top scorer of his team under the helm of coach Ernesto Valverde, reports Efe.
He was also able to return to the Spanish team for the friendly matches played last week against Italy and Romania in preparation for the next European Championship in France.
The best coach award went to Setien of the UD Las Palmas, in recognition of his efforts with the team where he has three wins and one defeat in March.
The nine points earned last month have allowed the Canary squad to leave the relegation zone classification, as they now occupy 15th place with 33 points.
