East Bengal and Johor Darul Taz'im will observe a minute's silence for the victims of Nepal earthquake before their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup tie at the Salt Lake Stadium here on Tuesday.
"A minute's silence will be held before AFC Cup match between Kingfisher East Bengal and Johor Darul Taz'im for the victims of Nepal Earthquake. Kingfisher East Bengal has proposed this to AFC to observe a minute's silence," a club release said.
"AFC has agreed to East Bengal's proposal and it has been decided by the Asian football body that the one minute silence will be held in all the matches of AFC Cup to be played on April 28 and 29."
Another release from the AFC added: "A minute's silence will be observed before Tuesday and Wednesday's AFC Cup matches following Saturday's earthquake that occurred in the Himalayan region."
"Sixteen matches will take place throughout the continent on Matchday Five of the AFC Cup Group Stage, and the gesture of solidarity will be coordinated by the respective AFC Match Commissioners."
