Afghan forces have killed 50 Taliban militants in Ghazni province, an official said Tuesday.
"National security forces kicked off operations against anti-government militants in Purdol and Janal villages of Gilan district and so far 50 Taliban rebels have been killed," the official spokesman told Xinhua.
Around 30 militants have been injured in the operations.
Mullah Habibullah, a shadowy district governor, has also been killed.
