Afghanistan Police raided a Taliban hideout in Ghazni province, killing four militants including their commander, reported Xinhua.
"Acting on an intelligence report, the police stormed a Taliban hideout in Piriqarsdaran village outside provincial capital Ghazni city late Wednesday night, killing four rebels, including their commander Jajai Khayal," said Zarawar Zahid of the provincial police at a press conference in Ghazni, Xinhua reported.
He said Khaval was a notorious Taliban commander who often targeted military convoys of Afghan and NATO-led troops by organising roadside bombings.
There were no police casualties, Zahid said.
