The All India Football Federation on Thursday issued a show-cause notice to Mohun Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen for his acidic comments against the governing body a few days ago.
"Yes, we have show-caused Sanjoy Sen for his comments on the AIFF," AIFF general secretary Kushal Das told IANS.
Last week, Sen took a dig at the AIFF saying it has been "sold out" after his request for rescheduling of an I-League match was ignored by the apex football body.
Mohun Bagan had convincingly won their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League first qualifying round match against Singaporean side Tampines Rovers 3-1 on January 27.
After the match Sen wanted to avoid playing an I-League away game on January 30 against DSK Shivajians as they had to fly out to China next to take on Shandong Luneng for the second qualifying round on February 2.
Sen wanted to rest his men and lambasted the AIFF when there was no rescheduling. The match was advanced to a 5.30 p.m. start instead of 7 p.m. but the match was not put on hold.

"We have told the officials what the matter is. AIFF has to look for improvement of football. The federation has been sold out. They have no standing now. We are now going to Pune and then we will be travelling to China. If something goes wrong, I will be blamed for it," Sen had said before leaving for China.
Mohun Bagan crashed out of the AFC Champions League, losing 0-6 against Luneng.
