National carrier Air India on Monday signed an agreement with CAE, a global leader in modelling, simulation and training for civil aviation and defence, to procure a A320 full flight simulator for its Central Training Establishment (CTE) here.
The new CAE 7000 XR series Level 'D' A320 Full Flight Simulator(FFS) will be received in the first quarter of 2016.
The agreement was signed at CTE by Air India's executive director, training, A.S. Soman and CAE's vice president, Middle East and India-Civil, Dave Barette.
The simulator with a state-of-the-art all-electric motion system provides more accurate and authentic cues for pilot training, said a statement by Air India.
The full flight simulator will be installed at CTE along with the existing two A320 simulators. By adding this new generation simulator, Air India will now be able to put on fast track the comprehensive training provided to its pilots with the latest technology, it added.
