At least 21 militants were killed in fresh airstrikes near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, media reported on Thursday.

"Twenty-one militants were killed late Wednesday in airstrikes in Rajgal and Tirah areas of Khyber Agency," Samaa News quoted Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.

Earlier on October 11, at least 22 terrorists were killed in air strikes by Pakistani warplanes in the North Waziristan tribal agency before dawn.

The airstrikes are part of the counter-terrorism efforts that were being made under the National Action Plan (NAP) and the ongoing "Zarb-i-Azb" military operation, with both having significantly curbed terror attacks in the country.
