Several Delhi University (DU) students from the All India Students' Association (AISA) picketed outside the Dean's office on Tuesday, showing their anger against the university's silence on the Ankiv Baisoya fake degree issue.
They said even after 45 days of Baisoya's expose, the DU has maintained its silence and accused it of being "hand-in-glove" with the RSS-supported Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, of which Baisoya is a member.
"The Thiruvalluvar University has already said that Baisoya was never a student with their university. They have also reported to the media that there has been no official communication from DU with them on this matter.
"Forgery is a criminal activity, a non-bailable offence. Despite this, the DU administration has not filed any case against Baisoya, and he remains a student of DU," said Madhurima Bhatia, Secretary of AISA.
She said that after two hours of protest, the Dean, Students Welfare came out and assured the crowd of providing them with details of the investigation on Friday.
