Ajay Kini from Bangalore completed a fine treble to clinch the championship in the LGB Formula 1300 class with a round to spare in the MMSC-FMSCI National Racing Championship here Sunday.
Equally dominating was 16-year old Tarun Reddy who won all the three races this weekend in the MRF Formula Ford 1600 class without once looking beatable. It was yet another fine exhibition by this teenager who is off to England Monday to continue his campaign in the Formula Renault UK next weekend.
Reddy has so far won nine of the 11 races this season and looks set to clinch the championship with three more outings of the final round remaining.
The first race of the Formula 1600 started with an incident in the very first lap, requiring the Safety Car to be deployed. On re-start, Reddy who had begun fourth in the reverse grid formation, quickly moved through the field and won quite comfortably.
In the next race too Reddy, starting from pole position, was rarely troubled and completed a command performance with another easy victory.
