Barcelona defender Jordi Alba on Tuesday said he had never had personal problems with Luis Enrique, stressing he had nothing but respect for the Spanish national football team coach.
Before recently calling Alba up to play for La Roja, Luis Enrique had twice left Alba out from the national squad amid claims in the Spanish media that there was a personal problem between the two men, reports Efe.
"There is nothing to regret. I revealed my desire to play, nothing more. He is the boss; he decides to name a player or not," the 29-year-old said during a press conference after his return to the Spanish side.
"I am very grateful for all the messages and support I have received from my teammates, fans and the media," Alba concluded.
