Alembic Ltd on Wednesday posted a 19.24 percent decline in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs.2.56 crore against Rs.3.17 crore in the same period last year, according to a regulatory filing.
However, despite the slump in profits, the firm's total income from operations increased by 6.75 percent.
In the review period, its net revenue stood at Rs.34.94 crore as against Rs.32.73 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal year.
Its shares in the afternoon trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange fell by 4.43 percent at Rs.44.25.
