Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh's mother Rajmata Mohinder Kaur was cremated in Patiala city on Tuesday.
The cremation took place at the 'Shahi Smadhan' of the Patiala royal family amid tight security.
Amarinder Singh, his younger brother Malwinder Singh, family members and close relatives including former union minister Natwar Singh were present.
Punjab Governor V.P. Singh Badnore, Assembly Speaker Rana K.P. Singh, Punjab cabinet ministers and legislators were also present.
The Rajmata passed away in Patiala on Monday evening following age-related illness. She was 94.
Wife of Maharaja Yadvindra Singh, the monarch of the Patiala royal family, the Rajmata was the last designated queen of the Patiala kingdom.
The erstwhile Patiala royal remained active in politics in 1960s and 1970s as a Congress leader.

She headed the District Congress Committee in Patiala and was involvbed in a number of social and welfare activities.
The Rajmata was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1967 from Patiala seat. She was also a member of the Rajya Sabha.
