Actress Amber Heard's neighbour Raquel Rose Pennington has given a deposition supporting charges that Heard's estranged husband and actor Johnny Depp abused her.
Pennington has written to the court alleging that the 52-year-old 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor "slapped my hands away" when she broke up an argument between the estranged couple on May 21, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Writing in a document for court, Pennington said: "(I got a text message) asking me to come over to her condominium unit. When I opened the door, I saw Amber by the couch, covering her head with her arms and hands, as Johnny was loudly screaming at her.
"I ran over and stood in between Johnny and Amber, begging Johnny to stop yelling at her. I put my hands out in a defensive manner motioning him to stop. Johnny slapped my hands away and screamed foul obscenities at me."
Pennington, who has been friends with Heard for 13 years, went on the claim that Depp then picked up a large bottle of wine and "began swinging it like a baseball bat" in order to smash "everything he could".
Following the incident, she says she brought Heard back to her home.

Heard, who filed for divorce from Depp on May 22, was granted a temporary restraining order against him after she claimed that he threw his iPhone at her face a day before. However, police found no evidence of an assault when they responded to a domestic dispute that evening.
Depp, on the other hand, has denied the allegations made against him and his lawyer claims Pennington is alleging abuse to "secure a premature financial resolution".
